Hello WordPress family,

Early January, I made a personal goal in regards to the subject matter of this post—as one of the few New Year’s resolutions I have planned for 2021.

My goal entails to read + meditate + daily jot down/journal devotionals of what resonates with me from the entire Bible—Greatly blessed are those who read, meditate, and put the beginning to the end into practice/or obey the little they’ve come to know—So help me God…

Today marks the day that I’ve decided to share with you in part, and in faith, of what has encouraged, rebuked and strengthened me from the Word of God.

Better still, if it floats your boat—pay it forward family…

My simple plan goes with reading one chapter from the Old Testament, in the morning, and follow suit with another one from the New Testament—thus in the evening.

This tells me now that I have jottings of up until today, so I might have to post 2 devotionals to catch up on the daily thought—right? Yeah, I suppose.

Here goes Day 1 of 365 of my personal faith jottings;

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins…

Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21, 23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Bringing this to my life now; God with us is the scripture that resonates strongly with me today. We often find ourselves overwhelmed at times by challenges we face in our marriages, parenting lifestyles, lockdown dilemmas, and let alone inner complexes—God is saying to us that He is with us—We shouldn’t stress, but trust in Him—For this too shall pass.

How beautiful is it to know that we are not alone? How wonderful is it to know that we can count on Jesus—with just about anything? How marvellous is it to know that I can pour out my heart and soul to Him?

How great is it that He will not cut me off, or put me down when I try to express what I feel? How wonderful is it to know that He will have a Word that will, yet again bring light (healing, comfort, deliverance and joy,) to my soul—thus today, as in now—through this devotional, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year , and forever more-wow, and amen!
