Day 2 of 365 Days; Morning meditation from the Old Testament;
…Today’s subject sounds cliché, but relevant—more especially to the times we live in now.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.(Genesis 1:3)
All that God formed and created was with His Word (what He spoke, and decreed.) The Biblical truth in this chapter confirms that we were made to His likeness—What does this mean?
I strongly believe that we can form and be creative with our words as well. Through words, we becometh.
In light of this, we ought to be mindful that we don’t get carried away with feelings by saying things we don’t really mean. ’Still sounds very cliché, but what I want us to think about, it’s the hard bit. What is she talking about now? Well, it is easier said than done to think before we speak right? We will make mistakes. We will say things abruptly. (This is why we need self control, anyway, that’s a topic for another day.)
Where was I? Oh, we will not always remember to think before we speak because we aren’t perfect, and this is where the Spirit of God comes in, to help us in our weaknesses. Paul states in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.(Romans 8:26-27)
I will leave it at this; It won’t hurt to ask God to; Help us have His way of thinking, and know who He says we are in Him.
Whilst we are at it, let us ponder this;
How is your self—talk?What are the voices we pay most attention to—Thought provoking right?
I vividly remember a post I wrote, not long ago that also prompted the following;
Do you have a habit of putting yourself down?Are you bombarded with negative thoughts? Evil thoughts aren’t yours, but the devil’s.
I personally find this next thought process highly effective in overcoming bad thoughts—There are times where an evil thought would creep in my mind, and God, in his awesomeness would bring to remembrances what His Word says about me, and this in consequence extinguishes the root of that demonic thought like a lightning rod! How liberating is this family of faith?
Do not let the devil with his conniving way of thinking rob you off your identity in Christ. You were formed with God’s Word to be the light of this world, period.
Let there be light, and there was………………(There you go! Go ahead and jot down your name in the dotted line.)
Amen to one more prompt, to guide us in familiarising ourselves with our Bibles—“Read and meditate on me.”—Holy Bible.
Day 2 of 365 Days; Evening Meditation from the New Testament
“Out of Egypt I called My Son.””Matthew 2:15 NKJV
This here resonates on levels; Out of Egypt I called my daughter.
I have a habit of scribbling down my name when the Word hits deep, and it is in this manner that my spirit miraculously receives it.
My meditation today inspired me to write this poem of gratitude;
https://sheilamo.com/2021/01/12/the-teeth-of-my-enemies-are-no-more/and also left me with the following questions;
What has God delivered us from?What is God delivering you from, with today’s Word?
Poem explained (Feel free to click the link of the poem above, for better understanding…)
God’s amazing love delivers us from our sinful nature.
God’s love protects us from all evil.
God’s love is infinite,
and available for everyone
willing to say yes to His call.
Be encouraged family!
